Final Project - 4th year
Rhino 6 / Enscape / Photoshop / Premiere Pro
Over the past two years, the Israel Post has seen its number of packages increase by 30% with more people coming to collect them every day. However, today the experience in post offices is often the same: nowhere to sit, waiting time too long, a general feeling of stress from customers, and cold behavior from employees.
So I decided it was time to do something. To change habits, to adapt, to use everything I learned during these studies to participate (even a little bit) in the development of an important system in our country.
The post office I planned is a small community center located at the crossroads of two very busy streets in Tel Aviv. Each part is independent, digitized while maintaining human contact. It allows a more pleasant environment and efficient service. On the street level, you can find the General Services, The Post Office Store, and the Giant Packages Wall - a digital storage facility, which catches your package operated by an app. Large entrance stairs lead to the second floor. On this floor, there is a public space, where you can work or wait. The reception of the Post Office Bank, also located there.
For the architecture of the building, I played with "stacking" the different spaces on top of each other. Each with their particular openness. Like piles of packages that you see in post offices.
I made this final project in memory of my father who passed away during the 3rd year of my bachelor's degree. My father was Business Development Manager within SOLYSTIC Company in France. He spent his life in the postal world and was responsible for improving postal technology around the world.
